The story of the Blues

The Blues is music genre that originated in the United States. Europeans brought many Africans to America as slaves before and during the nineteenth century. The Blues started in the South, in Louisiana and Mississippi. Blues songs sometimes express sad feelings, because after the American Civil War (1861-1865), the African American people in the America weren’t slaves or because the Blues-Men sometimes want to express their feelings about themselves. Blues became very popular in the streets of America in the 20th century.

Their played the Blues with some instruments like the guitar, piano, piper, bass and drums. Some people sometimes sing Blues with sad feelings and during the songs they express their feelings of rebellion. Some Blues Stars musicians and singers have transformed the music of the world. Names like Bessie Smith, B.B King, John Lomax, Robert W. Gordon, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, John Lee Hooker and Stevie Ray Vaughan revolutionized the “Feels Songs”.

Blues is popular culture like Jazz, Rock ‘n’ Roll, Heavy Metal, Soul Music and sometimes like Pop Music because The Blues are easier that’s imagine because you need only a guitar or voice to express your heart. Today, The Blues follow a line similar to their origins, but the songs use news elements.

These elements are used in  many kinds of performances by artists like Peggy Scott-Adams, Marvin Sease, Joe Bonamassa and Shemekia Copeland. They introduced in their songs sad and rebellious feelings, alternative clothes, loud voices on stage, and in their lyrics contain personal situations like tragic love, nights in the clubs or melancholic memories.
